ACCEL

ACCEL School works with Buckeye Union High School District on the campus of the Buckeye Learning Center to serve students in the Buckeye community. We are excited to collaborate with BUHSD and provide services to students with special needs.

ACCEL School Services provides students ages 5 to 22 with appropriate academic, behavioral, therapeutic and vocational programs to maximize skills and increase independence.
Programming is individualized in a highly structured learning environment with small class size. Intensive, collaborative support services are integrated into daily activities serving students with a wide range of abilities and challenges.

ACCEL provides a comprehensive instructional program using multisensory instruction, personalized attention to individual needs, customized research-based programming, social emotional skills, fundamental life skills, post-graduation career and job training.

A primary focus is a functional life skills and vocational enterprise curriculum promoting community skills, dignity and independence for all students.

ACCEL (Arizona Centers for Comprehensive Education and Life Skills) is a private, nonprofit organization serving children and adults with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, behavior disorders and intellectual disabilities.

Academic Services
Our school and vocational programs serve individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, behavioral disorders and cognitive disabilities. Programs emphasize students' strengths and empower students to build academic skills while developing strong social competencies. ACCEL is nationally accredited by the National Commission for the Accreditation of Special Education Services (NCASES).

Our campuses and satellite schools provide Model Classroom programs, evidenced-based practices and individualized educational plans linked to the Common Core curriculum and Arizona's College and Career Readiness standards. Using a collaborative team approach, we provide our students with a highly structured learning environment, individualized instruction, and small class size. ACCEL's low students to staff ratios provide the needed support to increase goal accomplishment and individual success while building student self-esteem.

Technology is fully integrated into the instructional programs. Each classroom is equipped with computers and Smart boards which maximize opportunities for students to interact with technology using a variety of motivational and instructional educational software. Related services are interwoven with the instructional program and delivered within the classroom setting whenever possible. A team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts and highly trained staff work closely with teachers and classroom support staff to meet student behavior goals.
